AIChE Competition

This valuable team-oriented, educational experience provides undergraduate chemical engineering students with the opportunity to:

  • Build a Team. Create a team of chemical engineering undergraduates to compete in the 3rd AIChE Middle East Regional Chem-E-Car Competition®. Teams that win first, second and third place will be awarded with the opportunity to compete at the 2019 AIChE Annual Student Conference in the United States.

  • Get Creative. Participate in the hands-on design of a small chemical powered model car that will be judged based on how effectively the chemical reaction stops the vehicle, instead of its power or speed.
  • Compete at MEPEC. Through participation in the competition teams will also gain access to MEPEC’s Student Conference Program, which includes tailored exhibitions, workshops and networking sessions.
