“Engaging, Innovating and Motivating the Youth”...

It featured a comprehensive program of activities, attracting a large number of students and early career professionals from the MENA region. Students and young professionals were able to meet with industry leaders and share ideas amongst their peers. The program was developed and implemented by our expert Youth Committee.

Why Attend ChemME?

ChemME will provide registered youth members to:

  • Learn the fundamentals of effective leadership skills and hear from industry experts

  • Participate in mentoring opportunities with senior executives

  • Solve new design challenges and discover innovate engineering solutions

  • Engage in interactive educational sessions and workshops

  • Network with other students and young professionals in one to one sessions

The ChemME program is designed by the youth committee to allow youth to participate fully in the conference, exhibition and workshop activities.

Calling all Students & Young Professionals

We welcome all youth whether you're a first time attendee or a returning MEPEC guest, student or Young Professional, MEPEC 2017 will be hosting an exciting program of activities for you to enjoy!

Networking at the ChemME Lounge

The ChemME Lounge will provide a casual networking environment for students and young professionals both with their peers and industry leaders. The ChemME Lounge is located centrally in Hall 1 at Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.  

Executives Connecting with Future Leaders

Join us at the “Speed Mentoring” session.  This event is an opportunity for youth to engage with executives in an informal setting. Mentors will be stationed while small groups of youth participants will rotate to different stations at set time intervals.

Technical Debate

Designed to focus on topics relevant to those new to the profession, the Technical Debate Sessions will include challenging issues ready for debate!

CV Clinic

The CV clinic will comprise of small and interactive group discussions facilitated by AICHE Students, providing expert tips on how to write a professional CV -  helping you set your future career path! Seating will be available on a first-come, first serve basis.

Don’t miss the ChemME Social Mixer

Build lasting connections with colleagues from all levels and industries at this fun and lively networking event. It’s simple! Introduce yourself to a new colleague and use this opportunity to learn more about them as well as the youth program activities you can engage in.

Plant Tour

Registration will open in August.

Join us at a sponsored plant tour of Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) Refinery on October 11, 2017.  Registered professional ChemME members will be given further details from August onwards. The tour provides a great educational as well as a networking opportunity.
